Making choices and changes
Welcome, and thank you for visiting. My name is Sarah and I am a counsellor providing counselling and life coaching in Coventry and Warwickshire.
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist and graduated from the university of Warwick with a BA Honours degree. I am a registered member of the BACP and have worked in counselling and mental health as a therapist and mental health practitioner for many years. I have worked at Coventry Rape And Sexual Abuse Centre (CRASAC), The
Lighthouse, Coventry and Warwickshire Mind and the NHS, offering empathy and support to people and working with them on a wide range of issues. I uphold the values of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and clients' appreciate the patience, sensitivity and care I offer during our work together.
I offer person-centred counselling for adults over the age of 18 as well as couples relationship coaching and life coaching.
In person-centred counselling, the client is free to explore any issues, past and present, in a safe, confidential space.
Counselling is a chance to express yourself freely, with no judgement, feeling listened to, heard and understood. I do not offer advice, but can help you to learn more about yourself and find ways to understand and manage any issues and concerns. Counselling can be challenging as it can bring up deep rooted memories and issues but you can work through this in a supportive environment.
I have worked with people on a huge range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma and social issues.
In life coaching sessions, we can discuss ways to improve your mental health, using coping strategies and goal-setting. Exploring choices and making positive changes are key to moving forward with your life.
Anyone can benefit from mental health support, so if you feel low, anxious or distressed or simply want to talk something through, do get in touch.
People come to me for help a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through counselling:
Stress
Trauma
Depression
Relationship problems
Problems with confidence or self-esteem
Anger
Anxiety
Problems with addiction
Sexuality
Post-traumatic stress
Grief, loss or bereavement
Work or retirement
Abuse
Family
I offer sessions on the telephone and online, providing counselling and coaching to clients across the UK.
I can also offer in person counselling from a private room at Walsgrave Baptist Church, Hinckley Road, Coventry, CV2 2 EX.
Please contact me to discuss the best option for you.
Sessions are usually offered on a weekly basis and last for 50 minutes. I offer a free telephone initial assessment session lasting up to 20 minutes. This is a chance to ask any questions and decide whether you are ready to commit to the counselling process.
Fees are paid in advance of the session by cash or bank transfer. Sessions cost £50.00 for telephone and online sessions and £55 for face to face sessions.
I have a limited number of sessions available for counselling students at a rate of £35 per session.
With counselling, this is an individual process and can be short or long term depending on the issues. I would advise that the minimum would be six sessions in order to benefit from the work. I also generally recommend up to 6 sessions for life coaching.
Sessions can be stopped at any point but I do ask for 48 hours notice for cancellations or fees must be paid for the booked session.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about any of the services I provide, or to arrange an initial assessment.
Please use the contact form below to send me a message and I will be in touch shortly.
